Eye Examinations

At Chipping Norton Opticians we perform NHS and Private Eye examinations using the latest technology to determine your level of vision and spectacle prescription.

A fully automated digital fundus camera is used to view the retina, optic nerve and blood vessels enabling us to ascertain the health of your eyes and to diagnose or grade more systemic general health conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure.

For an even more detailed examination of the retina and optic nerve we have an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanner in each consulting room, allowing us to see a detailed high resolution view of the internal eye including the retina and optic nerve, allowing for early diagnosis of certain eye conditions.
